Brian led his depleted troops into battle at Waterloo yesterday only to end up in Southport General with a dislocated ankle for his troubles. He his awaiting an operation tomorrow but said to be in good heart, as always. A true legend and needless to say we hope all goes well with the surgery and recovery, and I'm sure buying him the odd schooner of medicinal port or two at the bar will help keep his spirits high. STOP PRESS: 1st team skipper Joe Mawdsley captured his incumbent 3rd team counterpart in action earlier this evening; apparently it's the fastest Brian has moved all season! Joe was believed to be taking in a stash to keep him entertained during the night.
