The club is looking to employ a part time Administrator ...

..... who will initially be required to work up to ten hours per week.

Southport RFC has grown considerably in recent years and the job of administering various aspects of the Club has become more time consuming and more important to the success of the Club. The part time Administrator is initially required to provide administrative support in two key areas, supporting the Sponsorship/Partnership and Marketing group and supporting the Community Coaching programme that the Club first introduced in the 2016/17 season.

The Administrator will be a positive role model for all members of the Club adopting and communicating the values of the Club and of the RFU.

They will support the Community Coaching programme by working closely with the Manager of the Community Coaching programme and the Director of Mini and Junior rugby to ensure the efficient delivery of the Clubs coaching commitments to local schools and education establishments.
(a) They will ensure that Coaches are efficiently allocated to coaching commitments, that services are invoiced in a timely manner, that coaches’ hours are correctly logged and this information is communicated to the accountant to ensure they are properly paid, as well as liaising with Schools and Coaches to resolve any problems.
(b) They will facilitate new coaching contacts with more schools.

The Administrator will support the Sponsorship/Partnership and Marketing group by communicating the terms of sponsorship and partnership to all sponsors/partners and maintain a detailed and accurate record of all such arrangements.
(a) He/she will provide to the Club’s accountants such information as necessary to ensure that sponsors/partners can be invoiced accurately and on time.
(b) Maintain a log of match day sponsors and liaise with them (and the President/Chairman SRFC in respect of visiting Club Committee members) and the Clubs Catering and Bar Manager(s) to confirm numbers attending, lunch required, bar tab arrangements etc.

The role requires a ‘self-starter’, capable of working ‘remotely’ and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative (Word, Excel and Power Point) organising and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to Southport RFC and its continued growth and success.

If you are interested in applying for this role then please respond in writing to Club Secretary John Kenny either by e mail johnkennysrfc@gmail.com or by post to 29 Barrett Road Southport PR8 4PG with a supporting letter and/or CV demonstrating your suitability for the role.

Shortlisted candidates will then be asked to attend for interview.
