Southport Rugby Club is pleased to announce that the RFU will be attending our club on the Sunday 21st August 2016, between 12:00 – 14:00 In order to undertake a 'Pitch Up & Play' event.

The great thing about a 'Pitch Up & Play' event is that it is designed for everybody to have a go, and to introduce more women and girls in to contact rugby. They’re suitable for all abilities, bags of fun, and totally free of charge.

The sessions will build confidence and contact, fitness and femininity whilst providing a playing field for women and girls to discover what makes them strong. Whether you’re tall or small, fast or powerful, tactical or combative, you’ll be amazed to see what you can achieve on the pitch.

We would like to introduce Rugby to the many women out there who are missing out on this great game, so bring along all your female friends 9yrs and up.
In addition if the club can engage as many women as possible it stands a chance of receiving a £3000 pot of money towards club facilities.
