Southport Girls & Ladies Rugby Festival Monday 6th May 2019

The Southport Girls Rugby Festival is available for teams aged under 13, 15, 18 and Ladies and is played on Bank Holiday Monday.

Southport Rugby Club is one of the oldest rugby club' in Great Britain and has three full size and three mini/midi rugby pitches, along with undercover seating for 300 persons. There is a large club-house, food village, bar, Champagne & Wine marquees and stalls selling sports goods. The annual Southport Rugby Festival is an established rugby festival with over one hundred teams taking part from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, England.

Accommodation is available at either the local holiday centre, or in local hotels. For those groups staying at the holiday centre we provide a weekend coach service to the grounds.

ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive at your accommodation. check in and enjoy the rest of the day looking around and enjoying the holiday park activities

Day 2. Watch the Junior Rugby and relax

Day 3.
Make use of the Holiday park and have a training session

Day 4. Time for your Rugby festival held at Southport RUFC. After your last games, presentation of medals and trophies.

INFORMATION

The Southport Rugby Festival is played at the private grounds of Southport Rugby Club, which is just a five minute drive from the holiday centre. Last season, just over 100 teams from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England entered the festival, which has also attracted teams from Portugal and Ireland. The club has a selection of 14 full size, midi and mini rugby pitches, six changing rooms, new large licensed clubhouse, Champagne & wine bar, satalite beer bar and food stalls. Teams will play up to the maximum permitted minutes per day as stipulated by The RFU.

First Aid: For your complete peace of mind, we provide a fully staffed First Aid Unit & qualified Paramedics.

Southport is a first class upmarket tourist destination with fun filled entertainment to suit everyone. The Seafront incorporates a variety of entertainment facilities including bars, restaurants and hotels, which are situated alongside the award-winning beach. Attractions include entertainment centres, Go-Karts, Botanic Gardens, Splash World, Pleasureland Theme Park and Britain’s second longest pier
