28 of the U13s and some of the coaches enjoyed a fun afternoon at Burscough indoor Karting. Three hard fought heats reminiscent of “whacky races” produced a final of the top two from each heat.

Plus an award was given to Tom Selby by the stewards for his excellent attitude and driving during the heats. The reward – Entry into the final!

No pleasantries for this one and having gone out in front early – Charlie held onto the lead through the 10 laps and passed the checkered flag in first place. Mention also has to be made that the Coaches/Adults race was much less polite, with lots of tactical driving and more like the dodgems than F1! Richard Selby eventually secured 1st place on podium.

28 boys attended, great fun was had by all and we are very pleased to report that we have received an email from Burscough Karting, commenting on what a superb bunch of boys they were and what a pleasure it was to have them on the track. Well done boys you should be very proud of yourselves.

If any of the other teams fancy it I can only say that Burscough Karting looked after the boys very well, firstly making sure they were safe and secondly that they had a great fun afternoon. The U13’s can highly recommend!!!
