and we hope you had a good Christmas. One thing is for certain, the game against Tyldesley at Waterloo Road on Saturday will not be mickey mouse!

Make it your New Year resolution to be there and support our boys. Sponsored by the Southport Corinthians it kicks off at 2.15pm, and is the biggest First team game for years. Bar & kitchen open. Bring the family and the relatives down, Uncle Tom Cobley and all!

Weather forecast looking favourable:

Friday/Saturday Overnight Temperature: 6°C
A mix of cloudy and clear skies with a slight chance of showers. Windy.

Saturday Morning Temperature: 6°C
A mix of cloud and sun with a chance of showers. Windy at times. Early beer.

Saturday Afternoon Temperature: 7°C
A mix of cloud and sun with a slight chance of showers. Few touch-line beers.

Saturday Evening Temperature: 5°C
A mix of cloudy and clear skies with a chance of showers. Windy at times. Lots of beer.

No excuses then!

In the meantime, enjoy the New Year proceedings wherever you may be. All the very best from all at SRFC and lets take the annual opportunity to doff our caps to our home grown veteran Pugsley AKA 'Auld (Gareth) Lang' who will more than likely be out there yet again on Saturday putting his body on the line with the rest of the team. Let's be there for them.

for auld lang syne,

for auld lang syne.
And surely ye’ll be your pint-stoup!
and surely I’ll be mine!
And we’ll tak' a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae run about the braes,
and pou’d the gowans fine;
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit,
sin' auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae paidl’d in the burn,
frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
sin' auld lang syne.
CHORUS
And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere!
and gie's a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll tak' a right gude-willie waught,
for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
