Rugby awakens from its mid-season festive break tomorrow with the Firsts & Thirds driving away from home for Christmas. The FIrsts look to build on their solid start to life at level 7 with a testing trip down the M57 to Widnes, one place above them in the table. Meanwhile the Thirds hit routé 65 and hope to end a losing streak at mid-table Burnley 2s.

If you don’t fancy a road trip then why not remain homeward bound? Top -of-the-table Southport 2s are having a magnificent season and richly deserve all the support they can get as they hope to push on when entertain West Park (St Helens) 2s at Waterloo Road. So if you’re at a loose end mosey on down and cheer the lads on (KO 14.30)

The only teams at home on Sunday are the Colts v Sandbach (12:30) and the u13s v Liverpool Collegiate (11.00am) with all other teams including the Ladies far and wide across the region.
