Southport Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce it has agreed a four year partnership with Cobden Road based EFT Group Ltd.

From September 2018 EFT Group will become the main front of shirt sponsor on the playing kits of all 500 playing members of the Club.

The Group is also committed to working with SRFC to provide local development and, where possible, employment opportunities for interested and qualified senior club members.
Commenting on the new partnership, Adam Watts, CEO of EFT Group said, “In my younger days I had the pleasure of playing for Southport RFC and know from personal experience what a great Community Club it is.
“I am delighted to see the Club being so successful at all levels on the pitch, and off the pitch.
The importance of Community, the determination to succeed and grow are values that EFT Group and SRFC share and it is a pleasure to be able to partner with the Club at this exciting time. We look forward to working together to ensure our continued mutual success.”
Steve Olive, Chairman Southport RFC commented: “We pride ourselves on being a successful local Community Club, so it is great that we have been able to conclude this four year partnership with EFT Group, a local business success story led by Adam Watts a current member and past SRFC player.
“After the first year EFT Group will be the main ‘front of shirt’ sponsor on the playing shirt for all 500 plus playing members of Southport RFC.
“They will be taking over from Nationwide, who have been the main shirt sponsor for the last few years, and the Club extends its thanks and appreciation to Nationwide for the fantastic support they have given the Club over the years.
“We are delighted that EFT Group are committed to working with the Club to offer real ‘off the pitch’ development opportunities for our young players.”

The Club looks forward to maintaining the relationship with Nationwide for the forthcoming season whilst extending its sincere thanks and appreciation for the fantastic support the company and staff have played in being an integral part of the extraordinary development of rugby in Southport, and hopefully it will continue to so.
Both EFT Group and Nationwide are hugely successful Southport companies and with along with other existing and new sponsors (shortly to be announced) the Club is honoured to be at the heart of the town and its business community.
