The club sends its thoughts and sincere condolences to Andrew, Fraser and Ollie following the death of their much loved Mum Susan.

Sue was well known and a friend to many especially through her hairdressing and volunteer activities at Queenscourt Hospice. She was a good friend to the Club too often coming down to watch the boys play, indeed Olly is still at it on occasion having represented the First XV over the years.

But many of us will remember her as a great character devoted to her dogs who would think nothing about turning up with them gloriously adorned in red, black & amber ribbons.

Mind you they had to look the part when they were the match ball sponsors! One such game was on Saturday 12th April 2008 against Dukinfield in a South Lancashire & Cheshire Div. 2 Fixture as shown in the image (along with it has to be said a very young looking captain Shane Cook!). The excerpt also mentions that Olly suffered a severe injury and sadly he is not listed in the Southport squad. Hopefully he is over it now!

Above all Susan leaves us with fond memories of someone who always brightened Waterloo Road up and who will be much missed.

There will be a Celebration on her life on Friday 3rd March.
