Training Summary

Thanks to all for a great training session on Sunday, it was great to see some new faces.

I am very impressed with the children’s respect, commitment and determination, the ball skills are coming on with more than three quarters of passes sticking which at this level is excellent.

As a coaching group it is sometimes difficult to balance the fun factor with trying to play to the rules, however a special thank you to Alex, Jez, Ian and Woody for their contributions in getting the basics drilled into the team, as running, tackling, passing and try scoring is certainly higher than what it should be. We will continue with the smaller drills to try and incorporate line speed and offside, to be able to play more game time from the New Year.

Congratulations to Cohen Murphy for star of the week.

Couple of announcements:
1. Bonfire Night this Friday 4th November - you can pay at the door if you don’t have a ticket (£4 each or family of 4 for £12, from personal experience a fantastic family event
2. Photographs - please try and bring all the team Sunday 13th November (not the 6th as previously stated as the U7's have a game)
3. Christmas U6 party - who would like to go and any ideas for venue (Laser at the bowling alley has been mentioned)
4. Any parents who would like to get involved with the training please form an orderly queue behind Lewis and Bailey's dads, all help is most welcome.

Finally Eggs in a Basket will be back this week with the return of triumphant captain Woody - who for some reason seems to win every game even over the grumblings of Alex, Jez and Ian (hide the balls) Tindall.

See you Friday night
