After two defeats on the trot Andy Boland’s Second XV returned to the league and winning ways to retain their position at the top of the table
A comprehensive 51-14 win over Fleetwood 2s was captured by club photographer Angus Matheson in attendance taking a fantastic selection of action shots. You'll have to try and make out who scored from this. Otherwise the only report on the match is a facebook post by the great man himself
"A convincing win for Southport who scored 58 against Fleetwood's 14. Jake McMullen repeatedly out-ran Fleetwood's backs helping Southport to totally dominate the match." You've got the job Angus!
Saturday though entails a long trip to the Gateway to the Lakes to take on Kendal 2s in a game which is unlikely to prove anything but a piece of mint cake.
