Hi Everyone,

This Sunday is the final day of the 140th season and sees the Junior & Mini sections awards day followed by the annual Kenny Cup match,BBQ,tuck shop and bouncy castles and an end of season party.

Come down and celebrate a truly successful season as all the Cups won and individual awards are handed out as well as your opportunity to say thank you to our fantastic coaches.

The Fun training sessions start at 10.00am until 11.00am with the awards ceremony starting at 11.15am.

At 13.30 the annual Kenny Cup match will take place as the Coaches take on a Captains select XV.

The coaches will be managed by Dave Hignett who turned down a place on the British Lions Staff in order to concentrate on this important fixture.

See you down there and bring your cameras !!

Many Thanks

Andrew Carney

Following on from this fantastic event , thanks must go to Gareth Lang for organising the players team, Dave Hignett for organising the coaches team . The game was played in a highly enjoyable and spirited manner with the first xv team coming out as narrow winners, allowing Gareth to lift his final piece of silverware as captain.

The awards day was a tremendous achievement for the club, the players and the families, especially as the table was buckling under all of the silver ware that the children had won. Thanks went out to all coaches and parents for all of their hard work throughout the season. Special thanks were given to Louise Dale, Sue Astwood, Lynn Walton, Aileen McCarthy, Louise Palmer and Sophie Reid. One small helper was unfortunately omitted from the awards however this little one is there every Sunday helping on the tuck shop and assisting the kitchens with whatever they require this was Amy Dale.

May I ask all parents and coaches for their support next year as the volunteer section of the club is the heart beat of the club and we are actively seeking new helpers.

Many Thanks

Mike Dale
Director of Rugby
