
Join us for a fantastic evening of fireworks, food and drink, children’s entertainment, fairground activities and plenty more, all at Southport Rugby Club.
The evening will be hosted by Trevor Ford, with Mighty Radio broadcasting live, before our spectacular fireworks display gets underway at approximately 8:00pm.
It promises to be another brilliant night for the whole family, so get your friends and family together and come and enjoy the evening with us.

The fireworks display is scheduled for approximately 8:00pm. Please arrive in good time to enter the ground and find a suitable viewing position.

Food and Drink
There will be plenty of food and drink available throughout the evening, including:
• BBQ and pizza station
• Ice cream and sweet treats
• Clubhouse bar
• Clubhouse kitchen
The bar and kitchen will be open throughout the evening.

How do I book?
Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketebo.co.uk/southport-rfc.
Can I buy tickets on the gate?
A limited number of tickets may be available on the gate, subject to capacity. Booking in advance is strongly recommended.
Do I need to bring my ticket?
Yes. Please bring your e-ticket on your phone or a printed copy so the QR code can be scanned at the entrance.
Is re-entry allowed?
No. Re-entry is not permitted once you have left the site.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes. Please ensure the new guest has access to the e-ticket QR code.
Travel, Parking and Access
Is there car parking at the club?
There will be no public car parking available within the club grounds for this event due to the single access road and event safety requirements.
Where can I park?
Visitors should use nearby on-street parking and are asked to park responsibly and respect our neighbours.
Please:
• Do not block or partially block driveways, including those marked with the letter H
• Avoid parking directly opposite driveways
• Do not park on grass verges
Please allow additional time to park and walk to the ground.
Can I use public transport?
Yes.
Rail: Hillside Station on the Merseyrail Northern Line is approximately a five-minute walk from the club.
Bus: The 47 bus service stops close to the ground. Please check Merseytravel for current routes and times before travelling.
Is there a drop-off point?
Yes. A safe drop-off and pick-up area will be signposted close to the entrance. Please follow steward instructions on arrival.
Site Facilities and Accessibility
Are accessible toilets available?
Yes. Accessible toilet facilities are available on site.
Is the site accessible for wheelchairs and prams?
Yes. Stewards will be available to advise on the most suitable routes and viewing areas when you arrive.
Are baby-changing facilities available?
Yes. Baby-changing facilities are available within designated clubhouse toilets.
Is there a cash machine?
No. There is no ATM on site. Some vendors will accept card payments, but we recommend bringing some cash in case individual stalls are cash only.
Can I bring chairs, blankets or a small portable seat?
Yes. Visitors are welcome to bring their own low chairs, small portable seats and blankets. Please be considerate of other spectators and avoid obstructing sight lines.
Safety and House Rules
Can I bring my own fireworks or sparklers?
No. Personal fireworks, sparklers and flares are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated. This is essential for the safety of everyone attending.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Visitors must not bring their own alcohol onto the site. The clubhouse bar will be open throughout the evening.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Please do not bring dogs or other pets to the event.
Will the event go ahead if it rains?
Yes. The fireworks display can operate in wet weather and the event is expected to continue in the event of rain, subject to any overriding safety considerations.
Will first aid be available?
Yes. Qualified first aiders and a dedicated welfare point will be available throughout the event. Please speak to any steward if assistance is required.
What items are prohibited?
The following items must not be brought onto the site:
• Fireworks, sparklers or flares
• Drones or other aerial devices
• Glass bottles
• Alcohol brought from outside the venue
• BBQs or other open flames
Security checks may be carried out at the entrance.
Can I take photographs?
Personal photography from ground level is welcome. Drones are strictly prohibited.
Smoking and vaping
Please use the designated smoking and vaping areas away from busy crowd areas and family zones.
Sensory Considerations
The fireworks display will include loud bangs, bright flashes and significant crowd noise.
Anyone who is sensitive to loud noise may wish to bring ear defenders. Stewards can also help identify a quieter viewing position where possible on arrival.
Timings on the Night
6:00pm – Gates open
6:00pm to approximately 8:00pm – Food, refreshments and family entertainment
Activities are expected to include bouncy castles, face painting, hook-a-duck and fairground games.
Approximately 8:00pm – Fireworks display
Following the display, the clubhouse bar and selected stalls will remain open.
All timings are approximate and may be adjusted for operational or safety reasons.
Volunteering
Can I volunteer to help?
Yes, please.
We are always grateful for volunteers who can help make one of the biggest events in the Southport RFC calendar possible.
Support is required with daytime set-up and evening activities, including decorating, assisting at food stalls and helping with family entertainment.
Anyone interested in volunteering can speak to a committee member at training or on a match day, or contact the club directly.
