BBC Broadcast Journalist Jimmy was a very welcome visitor to Waterloo Road when he did a live interview with Andrew Carney and Graham Ellis early doors on Friday for Snelly's show (see below). We barely scratched the surface so much so that Jimmy came back with his roving mike to do a "round with Ellis" during the Second Team home game against Ashton-on- Mersey on Saturday afternoon. Jimmy included this as an extended three quarters of an hour feature in his own show earlier this afternoon. Thanks Jimmy, you did the club proud.

Sadly Matt Dawson was unable to join in the fun as his helicopter pilot decided to land at Greenbank High School on Sunday morning and not the rugby club as originally planned. At least we saw his helicopter fly over. What an opportunity lost but no matter, club life goes on regardless.
The Tony Snell Show
Join Tony Snell for Breakfast every weekday morning from 6:00am-10:00am. Get your daily dose of entertainment, interviews and the latest news, travel and conversation.
Tony joined BBC Radio Merseyside in December 1997. In the dim and distant past he's worked as a milkman and bricklayer but he eventually fulfilled his boyhood ambition of working in front of the microphone.
Snelly has interviewed people from all areas of the entertainment world from the legendary Tony Bennet to Bob Geldof and all in-between. “The best stories always come from listeners though, real stories about real people”.
"Having knowledge about your home city is always a help, I thought I knew most things about Liverpool until local historian Frank Carlyle appeared on my show and brought history to life in his own unique style (you my need subtitles if you listen somewhere else rather than Liverpool). Frank is a guest every Tuesday."
Harry is six years of age from Knotty Ash and he sings the hits for us every Monday just before the Kids Convoy. At such a tender age you would think he would be into whatever is in the charts but you can expect anything from Led Zep to Amy Winehouse!
