Well done to the lads yesterday. Irrespective of how things turn out on 30 April, for the squad to reach a Lancashire Plate/Cup Final in EVERY year of their time as a Junior Section side is a testament to their consistency and is a MAGNIFICENT ACHIEVEMENT! We should all be very proud of them

Yesterday was a tough game against a team who were told by their coaches that they didn't expect to win, but to throw the kitchen sink at us! That's exactly what they did, so all the pressure was clearly on us, but the lads responded marvellously to very nearly being 21:7 down just before half time. Sometimes you have to win ugly and that's exactly what the lads, digging very deep in the process, did yesterday and at Vale of Lune a few weeks ago.

But the lads now have an opportunity to banish the memory of last year's Final and the schedule / information outlined below is designed to keep them as fresh & calm as possible ahead of the Cup Final in two weeks

Training Sessions

• Wednesday, 19 April, 7pm-8pm, Waterloo Road

• THERE WILL BE NO TRAINING ON SUNDAY, 23 APRIL; A WELL-EARNED DAY OFF FOR THE LADS!

• Wednesday, 26 April, 645pm-745pm, Waterloo Road

Fixtures

• vs. Ennis (Eire), home Saturday, 22 April, Waterloo Road, 10.15am meet, 11.30am kick-off. The lads who have missed out on selection for the starting XV in recent weeks will all play the whole match. The match day squad will also include a few players from this age group who have been unable to play this season due to school commitments to enable numbers that can be rested ahead of the Cup Final - Massimo Poli, Kieran Bell & Max Vernon have all agreed to play for us on Saturday; a few others are in the process of being asked. It will be good to see them back, and in the future.

• Final vs. Fylde, at The Woodlands, Fylde FY8 4EL Sunday, 30 April, 12 noon meet (at Waterloo Road), 2.30pm kick-off. Cup attire please - shirt, tie, polished shoes & polished boots. ALL 25 members of the squad (irrespective of injuries / selection) to travel, with the coaching team, will travel in their own coach that will leave Waterloo Road at 12 noon. All the lads have a part to play, regardless of whether or not they are selected, and it's a important opportunity for coaches to keep the lads calm. Car parking is limited at Fylde, and another coach will also be laid on for supporters, families etc. (£10 per adult, £5 children). PLEASE E-MAIL MARK IF YOU'D LIKE TO RESERVE SOME SEATS ON THIS COACH. Both coaches will collect/drop off at The Fox Cub public house in Much Hoole (12.30pm pick-up on the way there).

u15s LANCASHIRE VASE FINAL

This Sunday the u15s are in action in the Lancashire Vase Final against Littleborough at Aldwinians, East Manchester kick-off 1.15pm. This is another great achievement by a Junior age group team..
