Sunday
This Sunday promises to be an exciting and busy day for SRFC, with our Mini & Junior teams in action, the Ladies and Colts on the road, and the Third XV set for action too.
Our young stars will face off against Sefton RUFC. The U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s, U13s, and U15s will all be playing at home, while our U12s make the short journey along the M57 to Sefton. It’s set to be a fantastic morning of junior rugby, showcasing the future of Southport RFC. A highlight of the morning will be the U16s hosting Bury RUFC in the Lancashire Vase Quarter-Final on the main pitch. This game kicks off at 11:00 AM and promises to be a thrilling encounter, as it’s a repeat of last season’s Lancashire Bowl Final, which saw Southport emerge victorious. Let’s get behind the boys and cheer them on to another big win!
Our Ladies squad returns to action as they travel to Kendal, looking to complete a season double after their 22-10 home victory earlier this season. It’s sure to be a hard-fought contest, and we wish them the best of luck on the road. Colts set to face Trafford MV in their penultimate league clash of the season, in their previous encounter in December, Southport secured a 29-12 victory over Trafford MV and as the league season approaches the conclusion, the team is eager to replicate this success and finish strong.
Following the U16s' match, make sure to stay and support our Third XV as they take on Leicester Medics RUFC at 1:00 PM. The Medics are on tour in Liverpool, and this promises to be a competitive and entertaining fixture.
To round off the weekend, join us in the clubhouse for another huge Six Nations clash with Scotland vs. Ireland – Kick-off at 15:00.
It’s set to be an exciting weekend for everyone at SRFC. Best of luck to all our teams! #UpThePort
