Andy Boland and his charges will really appreciate as much support as possible as they look to keep up the pressure at the top of the table. First team call ups plus injuries and unavailability have stretched the team to the limit but it is still in contention and with a run of home games to come in the next few weeks it promises to be an exciting run-in. After the excitement of last weekend the Firsts will be looking to make it three in a row at West Derby when they visit Sefton. Historically games between these two well-matched clubs tend to be close and Saturday promises to be no different although the home team will be anxious to put some distance between them and the teams in the relegation zone. Touch wood Southport now appear to have enough points in the bag to be safe but nothing can be taken for granted and there can be no letting up to ensure a strong finish to the season.
